The Nikon Z8 features a 45.7MP FX-format stacked CMOS sensor, capable of capturing 8.3K 60p N-RAW and 4.1K 60p ProRes RAW video. It can shoot up to 20 fps in raw and 30 fps in JPEG, with a blackout-free real-time viewfinder. The camera has dual memory card slots (CFx Type B and SD), a 3.2-inch 4-axis tilting touchscreen LCD, and supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Z8's video capabilities include 8K30p and 4K120p recording, with 10-bit internal recording. Its autofocus system features 493 points and AI-based subject detection. The lightweight design is 30% smaller than the Z9, making it a more portable option for gimbal and handheld use.
